How Consignment Works
Hours
Wednesday through Sunday 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. CLOSED: Monday and
Tuesday
Accepting Consignments
Please call for an appointment to bring in consignments at any time
during business hours. A Recycling Works LLC representative must
check-in your items before you can leave them, so please allow time.
Consignment Period
Recycling Works LLC agrees to display and offer your items for sale
for a total period of 60 days. At the end of 30 days your items
MAY be discounted by 20%. You may check out and remove your items
at any time during your 60-day consignment period.
Consignment Payment & Commissions
Recycling Works LLC agrees to pay the consignor 65% of the selling
price of their sold items. Credit card fees of 4% will be subtracted
from your check. Payments for sold goods will be made once each
month on the 5th day of the month after the sale. Consignees wishing
to have their payments mailed must provide us with SASE.
Unsold items
Unsold items remaining after the 60-day consignment period become
the property of Recycling Works LLC and will be disposed of. It
is your responsibility to keep track of the expiration date of your
consignments. We will not call or remind you when your items expire.
Selling Price
You set the selling price for your items or you can authorize us
to price your items. Unreasonable prices may make an item unacceptable
for consignment.
Loss, Theft & Damage
Recycling Works LLC will do its best to protect your items. However,
we are not responsible for loss, theft or damage to goods left on
consignment from any cause whatsoever. Insurance coverage remains
your sole responsibility.
Unacceptable Items
Space is limited at Recycling Works. We reserve the right to not
accept items for sale based on current stock, asking price and/or
general suitability for our store. This is a business. We choose
not to engage in arguments over the acceptability of items we choose
not to help you sell. At this time, we do not accept most clothing
for consignment.
